I have to say, first of all, you have seriously improved with Photoshop. I typically doodle via the traditional paper/pencil, but I have used Photoshop enough to know that all those weird little buttons everywhere can be confusing to those not experienced with the program. I've been looking at all the Iceland/Hong Kong/Macau updates that you've posted for your commission, and the positioning, as always, is wonderful, as well as the anatomical placement and facial expressions, but the blood stains distracted me a little at first. Sometimes, the blood would continue straight from a splotch on Iceland's hand straight to a touching place on his sleeve, and it gave it a 2D effect. Looking at you latest update, however, I must say that that has changed. It's, in all honesty, totally awesome how the blood, even on their hair, now follows the path and curvature of their bodies and clothing, really adding depth to the photo. the black eyes were a good touch too, and they look fairly realistic and natural on the MMD characters. I also can't praise you enough for Iceland's arm sling and Macau's head wrap. I mean, that's pretty freakin' detailed in regards to the blood. Ice's stain is sort of cross-hatched, so it gives the bandaging texture. Macau's let's his hair through in just the right way, so that it looks deliberate, but casual. Well, as casual as one gets when they're a Hetalia character that just pounded the life out of a personified country in a fight over a dude known to set off firecrackers at inappropriate times. Anyways. There are some things that I think you can improve on, however. Now, I'm not sure how long you would have liked them to be in the hospital at this point, but if Macau was lying down for a while, I feel like that one cut on his head that allowed the blood to seep through should have droplets going down the bandage, towards the floor, instead of sideways, towards his face. Gravity and all, ya know? And on his knuckles, if you wanted the effect that he got the bruises from flipping tables or punching Icey, it would be really cool if you added the purple-bluish shading along the line of his knuckles, which are rather mountain-like, rather than just make a straight line. And if that particular character doesn't have knuckles (sorry, I'm just assuming that they all do 'cause I see knuckles on Iceland), try and map it out anyways, because it still adds a cool effect.
Moving on to Iceland, I don't think that many people will notice this, but he's wearing gloves, right? If he is, I feel like the coloring on his gloves should be more crimson. Shy away from the bruise-like coloring on clothing because, well, clothes can't bruise. Furthermore, I think it's symbolic how they're both reaching out to Hong Kong, but Iceland's arm is a little awkward. If it was really bandaged like that, he probably shouldn't be moving it, and if he decided to anyways just to make a point, it might seem more natural if he was resting it on the metal railings of the bed. I'm not quite sure if he is or not, but that's just from what I can see. I'm not going to say much about HK, because he's pretty masterfully captured. I think you did a superb job with him. Other than the main three, I'm glad China stopped creeping on them XD and Norge looks worried about his little bro. The effects that you used gave the whole scene a kind of sterile but angsty look, which fits the mood perfectly. Norway looks a little awkward with his pose, sort of like he's indecisive about going over and hugging Iceland or crossing his arms apathetically, but I guess that's the point. Wow, that was long. Ah, I hope I did everything right, and I hope that this was useful to you. All in all, I really like this piece, and you show real talent for MMD and Photoshop editing, so keep up the good work!
